Gregory Hamilton
Gregory is a 17-year-old junior at INSPIRE, the Idaho Connections Academy. He lives in Meridian, Idaho. Gregory loves to hang out with his friends, be goofy and play his bass guitar. He is also learning sign language and has made many friends who are deaf that he enjoys hanging out with.
Gregory has completed his first year at INSPIRE. For him, INSPIRE has been a big change, but a very positive one. He has a learning disability called Dysgraphia. It makes writing by hand very difficult, but with Connections Academy, most all of his work is done with a computer. This makes school much easier for him. He says, "I love INSPIRE because I can work when I feel like it, not when I am expected to. What I like most is all the help I have gotten from my teachers this year, especially from Mr. Wagoner. He has time set aside each week for me, and helps me in the areas of school that are difficult for me. I feel like the teachers really care about me personally."
As far as his future ambitions, he states that when he grows up “ I would like to be a chef and own my own restaurant where I can cook unique foods and try a lot of different things. I also want to continue to learn American Sign Language and help the deaf”.
