Welcome to INSPIRE, the Idaho Connections Academy

INSPIRE, the Idaho Connections Academy provides a new form of public school that students can attend from home.

This unique program combines

  • the expertise and accountability of publicly funded education,
  • strong parental involvement,
  • and the flexibility of online classes.

Tuition-free Public School for Grades K–12

INSPIRE, the Idaho Connections Academy, is a virtual charter school that was approved by the Idaho Charter School Commission. INSPIRE serves students in grades K–12 from anywhere in Idaho. The INSPIRE charter includes a first-of-its-kind partnership with Boise State University. The university will assist with teacher training, curriculum development, and research and evaluation.

Parents pay no tuition for students to attend INSPIRE. Students are considered to be enrolled in a public school.

Parent Satisfaction

Each year we ask INSPIRE families to rate our program. Our parents evaluate us on a number of criteria including student progress, teacher support, and quality of the curriculum.

This year, 93% of all Connections Academy parents surveyed gave our program high ratings. Check out the latest survey results to see how INSPIRE parents surveyed felt about our program.

Materials Provided by the School

INSPIRE provides

  • Idaho-certified teachers,
  • textbooks and other curriculum materials,
  • online resources, such as movies and encyclopedias,
  • and a loaned computer and subsidy for Internet service.

All materials, including the computer and reusable curriculum materials, must be returned if the student is no longer enrolled. Students are required to take all state mandated, standardized tests in person at locations designated by the school.
