Some professions have a greater impact on society as a whole. As a teacher, Danielle Wilson is proud of “the influence [she] can have on individuals.” But she understands that the responsibility is even greater. It’s about “making a positive impact on future generations.”

An Experienced Educator, An Online Advocate

Ms. Wilson had more than 20 years of teaching experience before joining Coastal Connections Academy in 2021. She understands the opportunity that online education offers. “Students become strong independent learners,” she says. “I enjoy watching my students grow using the engaging Connections Academy® curriculum while in the comfort of their own homes on their own schedules.”

Becoming a teacher is about “shaping young minds” and “instilling a love for learning.” Ms. Wilson is clear about what she needs to do for those things to happen. “I am committed to creating a supportive and inclusive space where students can thrive academically and personally.”

Teacher, Mother… Expert Time-Manager

Personally, Ms. Wilson has perhaps even more responsibility. She is married and “the proud mom of five kids: four boys and one girl.” Despite the busy schedule and countless commitments—professional and personal—she still finds time for herself. “I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my boys play baseball, going to Disney World, and relaxing at the beach.”

As both a parent and teacher, Ms. Wilson has advice for families considering making the switch to online schooling. “Take the leap. You will be happy you did.”

“Teaching is not just a profession for me; it’s a calling.”
