Enrolling for the 2010–11 School Year

We offer two programs for the 2010–11 school year:

  • District Virtual Instructional Program: a full-time program serving students in grades K–12 operated by school districts in Florida. Students must reside in a participating district, have been enrolled in public school during October and February of the prior school year, and may be subject to other limitations imposed by their resident school district. Students must also meet all public school requirements for attendance and standardized test participation. Enrollment for the District Virtual Instruction Program (grades K–12) will close on September 10, 2010 at 5:00 PM ET.
  • Home Education Program: a full-time option in grades 6–12 available to any Florida resident. Students in this program are considered “Home Education” students, which means that they must register as such with their school district. There are no other eligibility requirements to participate. Students are encouraged, but not required, to participate in standardized testing. Students do follow a traditional school calendar. For those wanting a part-time experience, please visit Florida Virtual School for more information.
