- Colorado Connections Academy's current elementary school assistant principal, Chaille Hymes was awarded the first Online Elementary Teacher of the Year by the Colorado Department of Education in 2008.
- Colorado Connections Academy teacher, Peggy Barnholt, was names Online Teacher of the Year by the Colorado Department of Education in 2010.
- Colorado Connections Academy teacher, Justin Siddall, won the Outstanding Online Teacher Recognition award from the Colorado Department of Education in 2012.
