Tuition-free Online School from Home

Colorado Connections Academy (ColoCA) is a tuition-free, K–12 online public school that students attend from home. ColoCA brings a fully accredited public education directly to your family’s door—anywhere in Colorado.

Authorized by state law with the Mapleton Public Schools

ColoCA is authorized under state law as a contract school with the Mapleton Public Schools. The district representative for this school is Jackie Kapushion, 303-853-1000. The school is operated by the Mapleton Public Schools through a contract with Connections Academy, LLC, to provide its educational program and other services.

Meet Christine Tanguay, ColoCA Principal

Principal Christine Tanguay joined the Connections Academy family as a Special Education teacher in 2006 and for the last two years she has been an Assistant Principal of Colorado Connections Academy. She brings over 20 years of experience in public education and is up to the challenge of continuing our excellence in online education.

Ms.Tanguay says, "Online education has experienced enormous growth over the past couple of years. Throughout this period, we've been able to maintain a high quality education for all students by hiring the best teachers and providing an excellent, customized curriculum."

Ms.Tanguay holds a Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in special education from the University of Colorado at Denver and earned her Principal’s License through the Teach and Lead Program in Denver, Colorado.

Principal Christine Tanguay leads a dedicated staff that includes:

State-certified teachers who are recognized as Highly Qualified by the Colorado Department of Education.
Full-time licensed school counselors.

Bringing together the best in print and online resources with Connections Academy proprietary instructional tools, the ColoCA curriculum is designed to engage students of every level. Our goal is simple: To ensure that all students have the resources they need to succeed.
