Chaille Hymes has been in education since 2001. She was an elementary classroom teacher for the first four years, and then she joined the Colorado Connections Academy (ColoCA) teaching staff in August 2005 as an elementary teacher.
In the summer of 2008, Chaille was honored by the Colorado Department of Education as the first Online Teacher of the Year. That summer, she joined the School Support Team for Connections Academy.
After completing her master’s degree in administration, Chaille returned to ColoCA as an assistant principal, a position she has held for four years now. Chaille is very passionate about the families, students, and staff of ColoCA and is looking forward to leading the school as it grows in the coming years.
Chaille spends a lot of her spare time with her family. She is married with three stepchildren ranging in age from 23 to 14, and she also has two little boys who are three and one—they keep her on her toes. Her busy family life does not allow for many other hobbies, but when she does find time, she enjoys reading memoirs and scrapbooking.
