CapoCA Field Trips
Bringing Lessons to Life
Whether exploring the past at the Mission San Juan Capistrano, envisioning a future on distant planets at the Bakersfield Planetarium , or just enjoying the present with other students at a class picnic, our students make California the classroom with field trips throughout the state.
At CapoCA, we integrate California’s rich cultural, historical and natural resources into our curriculum to bring classroom lessons to life. With the help of Community Coordinators, CapoCA offers students:
- Excursions to nature preserves, wildlife museums, and parks to explore our native plants, animals, and geography.
- Cultural outings that deepen their understanding of art, music, and theater.
- History tours that vividly trace the impact of the past on the present.
- Excursions that connect math and science concepts to practical living and working applications.
- Local outings to animal shelters, farms, parks, and businesses to connect students with one another and the communities they live in.
Exploring Life after Graduation
To help high school students exploring career and college options, we offer field trips to colleges and universities, college fairs, and businesses.
Just for Fun
At CapoCA, we’re just as committed to your student’s social and personal development as his or her academic performance. So we schedule field trips just for fun too, such as:
- Field days, back-to-school picnics, and end-of-year events
- Ice skating, pizza, and bowling parties
- Excursions to places like California LegoLand, Irvine Boomers, Medieval Times, and more
- Joint celebrations and trips with our sister school, Central California Connections Academy
