Welcome to Central California Connections Academy

Central California Connections Academy (CenCA) provides a new form of public school that students can attend from home.

This unique program combines

  • the expertise and accountability of publicly funded education,
  • strong parental involvement,
  • and the flexibility of online classes.

Tuition-free Public School for Grades K–12

Central California Connections Academy is a charter school authorized in May 2006 by Alpaugh Unified School District. CenCA serves students in grades K–12 who reside in Fresno, Inyo, Kern, Kings, and Tulare counties.

Parents pay no tuition for students to attend CenCA. Students are considered to be enrolled in a public school.

Parent Satisfaction

Each year we ask CenCA families to rate our program. Our parents evaluate us on a number of criteria including student progress, teacher support, and quality of the curriculum.

This year, 93% of all Connections Academy parents surveyed gave our program high ratings. Check out the latest survey results to see how CenCA parents surveyed felt about our program.

Materials Provided by the School

CenCA provides

  • certified teachers,
  • textbooks and other curriculum materials,
  • and online resources, such as movies and encyclopedias.

All materials must be returned if the student is no longer enrolled. Students are required to take all state mandated, standardized tests in person at locations designated by the school.
