Sandy Philpott is the owner and designer of Uptown Redesigns, a business that demonstrates resourceful practices that limit waste and reduce unnecessary consumption and stress on our environment by upcycling vintage leather jackets into new, high-quality, custom made leather bags. Each bag is individually hand-crafted and completely unique. Sandy is a former educator, and believes strongly in providing alternative educational options for all types of learners. She earned her B.S. and M.Ed. in Special Education, taught in public, private and international schools for eight years, and held various educational management positions for almost ten years.

Why She Cares About Virtual School

Sandy believes strongly in virtual schooling and in Connections Academy, where she was previously employed for several years. Sandy is delighted to be able to contribute to the ongoing success and growth of Connections Academy, and of virtual schooling in general.
