Chaille has been with Connections Academy for the past 5 years in several different capacities from teacher, to corporate trainer, and now is the Elementary Assistant Principal at Colorado Connections Academy (ColoCA). In 2008 Chaille was honored with the first ever Online Teacher of the Year award for the state of Colorado because of her dedication and commitment to her students and families.

Mrs. Hymes has her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with a focus on Early Childhood Education and within the last year completed her Masters degree in Administration and Supervision. She thoroughly enjoys working with the families at her school and could not imagine a better job.

Why She Cares About Virtual School

As a classroom teacher for 4 years prior to coming to the virtual environment it frustrated Chaille to see students who needed something different than what she was able to provide in the classroom when she had 28 other students also needing her attention. Virtual schooling gives families and students the opportunity to focus on the needs of the student academically when they are unable to thrive in the traditional classroom environment.
