Connections Academy Blog Guidelines

Connections Academy understands that blogging fosters relationships in an online community, and you are encouraged to join the conversation and post your insights to the Connections Academy Virtual Learning Connections blog (“Connections Academy Blog”) so others may benefit from your knowledge. The focus of the Connections Academy Blog is to keep our growing community a friendly sharing place and valuable resource for parents, teachers, and others who seek information about virtual school and conducting school from home.
We respect and understand that comments on the Connections Academy Blog are the opinions of those who comment and everyone is entitled to their opinion; however, this has to be balanced with ensuring this forum remains a friendly sharing place. As a result, we have developed the following guidelines to be considered prior to posting articles and comments to the Connections Academy Blog.
The information posted on the Connections Academy Blog is not official communication from Connections Academy; however, the Connections Academy Blog is operated by Connections Academy and we reserve the right to moderate comments, and any comments made outside of the guidelines below will not be published. By participating in the Connections Academy Blog you agree to comply with the following guidelines:
GUIDELINES:
- Please keep responses as relevant to the posted entry and the stated focus of the blog as possible. Please comment on the content of posts and other comments rather than on the individuals participating in our blog community. Please contact the school directly for specific school-related issues, as this is not the correct forum for these.< /li>
- You may not use any information obtained from the Connections Academy Blog to harass, threaten, impersonate, abuse, attack, or harm, or solicit personal information from, another person, business, or group. Do not submit any comments containing content that is known by you to be false, inaccurate, or misleading.
- Comments you post on the Connections Academy Blog must not contain content that is inappropriate, indecent (including but not limited to nudity, or pornography), profane, obscene, hateful, tortuous, defamatory, slanderous, or libelous, or that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred, harm, or discrimination against any group or individual based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age or any other legally protected grounds.
- Avoid submitting comments on the Connections Academy Blog containing material that violates, invades, or infringes upon another’s rights, including but not limited to privacy, publicity, or intellectual property rights, or that constitutes copyright infringement.
- Please do not post comments that include adware, chain letters, junk mail, unsolicited mass mailings, spam, pyramid schemes, advertisements, personal solicitations, commercial solicitations, viruses, Trojan horses, worms, bots, spyware, or any other computer code that is intended to damage, interfere with, or surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data, or information.
- Withhold comments containing material that is unlawful, or in violation of or contrary to all applicable local, state, federal, or international laws and regulations. Please avoid submitting comments that contain criminal or tortuous activity, including but not limited to child pornography, fraud, trafficking of obscene material, drug dealing, or gambling.

HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNITY:
You agree to hold harmless and indemnify Connections Academy, its affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, and directors, and its employees, agents, and representatives, from and against any third-party claim arising from or in any way related to your use of the Connections Academy Blog, including any liability or expense arising from all claims, losses, damages (actual and consequential), suits, judgments, litigation costs, and attorneys' fees, of every kind and nature.
VIOLATION OF TERMS:
In addition to any legal remedies that Connections Academy may have for your violation of the terms of these guidelines, Connections Academy shall also have the right in its sole discretion to suspend or terminate your access to the Connections Academy Blog.
MODIFICATION OF TERMS:
Connections Academy may modify the terms of this Agreement at its sole discretion and without notice, which modification shall be effective immediately. Accordingly, we suggest that you check this page regularly for updated or additional guidelines.
