Field Trips—Bringing Lessons to Life

From the living stalagmites of Kartchner Caverns, to the pueblos of Walnut Canyon, to the zoo and botanical gardens of the Arizona-Sonora Museum, Arizona’s diverse resources are part of the curriculum at ACA. At ACA, field trips bring classroom lessons to life and give students the opportunity to meet and make friends. Parents and siblings are welcome to join as teachers lead ACA students on trips that combine adventure, fun, and education:

  • Eco-tours of our rivers, lakes, mountains, and caverns where students explore the interconnections of biology, ecology, and geology.
  • Cultural outings that deepen their understanding of art, music, and theater.
  • History tours that vividly trace the impact of the past on the present.
  • Excursions that connect math and science concepts to practical living and working applications.

Exploring Life after Graduation

To help high school students exploring career and college options, we offer field trips to colleges and universities, college fairs, and businesses.
